Addie is this little note, left for me after a long day at work:
You should try this recipe some time. I hear it's delicious. We'd be happy to lend you the large Milo toot and 90 Huge Addie Toots, but you're on the own for the rest.
Addie is also this, a self-portrait titled "Your Kiss:"
And she's this, a Grecian Goddess:
Yes, I finally sucked it up and made a Halloween costume for one of my kids. Mostly because I had all the material and wasn't about to shell out $30 for something I could make in a few hours. Of course, as always, she complained instantly that it was itchy:
That's my girl.
Okay, I totally love your daughter, though I've not met her. That recipe absolutely rocks! (sloat!) And if you have already made a Halloween costume by hand yourself--and it's still SEPTEMBER--then you are an amazing (overachieving?) supermom, and I'm envious. It's a lovely costume.

She's a little sloat-in-the-making!
ReplyDeleteSeriously, though, I'm ideologically opposed to working moms making Halloween costumes unless they really, really want to. I've never done it before, and I only did it this time because I did have all the materials on hand (thanks to my grandma's many years of making drama costumes). And, I was of course rewarded by my kid claiming it was "the most beautiful costume in the world, and the most uncomfortable costume in the world." Ungrateful sloat! :). But it was fun.
